“Very honest stuff” – Steve Reich on ‘Morning’
David Braid, composer of some 150+ works, including three symphonies and a viola concerto, has had his work performed internationally in Europe and the Americas and broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
Major UK performances include Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, King’s Place, Wilton’s Music Hall, 1901 Arts Club, among others.
In recent years David has focussed on two main activities:
1: setting his own texts (that discuss both the positives and follies of contemporary life)
2: writing extended narrative (symphonic) works that feature contemporary instruments such as electric guitars, samples, emulators, et al.
