Having always been the sort of person that goes out and gets things rather than waiting for them to appear, I have been putting on concerts since I was 10 years old literally (my first was with my rock ‘n’ roll band The Satellite 5 in my home town of Colwyn Bay).
Since then, right through secondary school, my time at music college, university and abroad, and now – having come a long way since the 1980s – as a London-based composer, I have continued my ‘impresario’ activities and carried on organising concerts, hiring halls & musicians, doing all promotion, designing posters/flyers and doing PR campaigns – not to mention writing all the music and usually performing in/conducting them as well.
